Bernal de Horcasitas
Exiting Tampico, at the Km 111 of Highway 80 Tampico-Cd. Mante you will have a view of the Bernal de Horcasitas, a natural landmark with an elevation of 820 meters and a base of 6 Km surrounded by a valley with an extension of 60 Km.

Tips - This is a basalt rock formation and is visited primarily by campers and expert climbers. If you want to visit the site, it is recommended to do it accompanied by an expert guide due to the lack of proper signals to guide you through it, that makes it easy for any tourist to get lost
History and Archeology Museum
This small museum has a collection of several archeological pieces belonging to the Huasteca culture among them are figures and pottery as well as historical document from the foundation of this municipality. On of the main exhibits is the corn and "metate" where antique artifacts used by the Indians to transform the corn grain into edible form and a series of idols that show the typical physical composition and the Indians preference in clothing, tattoos and bird-like hair styles.
Also at this museum are some of the arms used during the Mexican-French war and a small album edited in 1910 commemorating the first 100 years of the Mexican Independence by the Comité Nacional de Comercio where there are several photographs of the President Don Porfíro Díaz, its cabinet members, ambassadors and their families; as well as photographs of several buildings of Mexico City.
Tips - To reach this museum you make a turn on the highway to its right hand side at the Boulevard José María Morelos, approximately 6 blocks to its right side you will find the Municipal Palace, at the back of this building by the Guadalupe Victoria Street.
Bautista de Horcasitas, hoy Magiscatzin

This small town located on the riversides of the Guayalejo River on the left of the Highway 80, was found on May 1749 during the colonization of the Costa del Seno Mexicano by Don José de Escandón under the orders of the Viceroy Juan Francisco de Güemez Horcasitas y Aguayo; being an important commercial center communicating the Huastecas and the New Kingdom de León. It was in ruins during the Revolution after constant pillages from the fighting parties. Today, it is a small town where there are still some traces to its colonial past like:
· Old Temple of San Juan Bautista. Founded in 1749, still has tree windows that keep its bells.
· Old Municipal Palace of Horcasitas. Built in 1754.
· Colonial Building where Francisco Javier Mina stationed his troops when passing through Horcasitas in 1817.
Guayalejo River

With an extension of approximately 70 Km the Guayalejo River crosses through this municipality and there are several places alongside that you can enjoy a peaceful stray and being in contact with Mother's Nature.
Magiscatzin Bridge
Inaugurated in 1949, being at the time an important and modern piece of engineering.
